Help to Leprosy Patients
On 09.02.2015, as part of the 180th Birthday celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the Rajahmundry Branch of Ramakrishna Mission served about 120 Leprosy patients and 96 Gowthami Jeeva Karunya Sangham Old age home inmates. Items meeting their daily requirements were distributed to them.Two steel carriers for them store their food, one bed sheet, B-complex Tablets and Nutrition supplement food packets were distributed. They were affectionately addressed and advised to take good care of health and motivated them to try to become self sufficient and earn their own livelihood.
On the Tithi puja day, on 20.02.2015,the 96 Inmates of Gowthami Jeeva Karunya Sangham Old Age Home were supplied with Horlicks (1/2 kg packets), Nutrtion powder packets. Sweets were also distributed to them.
New Welfare Schemes
In connection with the 150th birth anniversary celebrations, new welfare schemes are taken up by us.
1.Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa:
A Child welfare scheme to provide physical, mental and intellectual development to poor children.
At the Ashrama 100 children come daily from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm. They are given coaching in cultural values and they provided with nutritious food.
Towards their maintenace of health and hygine, they are being provided with Tooth Paste, Tooth Brush and Soap regularly
Similar projects are being conducted at three different places,viz, Bapatla, Donkada and Pedabrahmadevam by respected Samathies there under our guidance.
2. Vivekananda Swasthya Pariseva Prakalpa:ÂÂÂ
In this scheme, Pregnant women, lactating mothers and children are taken care by providing nutritious food, medical care and health education. One such unit is conducted at Sirigindalapadu where our base camp of Mobile Dispensary situated.
